Here's Pete, Loesje and I at her home (1959)

I can't get the pictures, or the text, formatted evenly! I tried and tried, so this is how they'll stay!  Was I wishing I could trade places with Pete? :)

My mother and father at Loesje's (1959)

Poor Loesje trying to ignore momma mia's instructions on how to play the accordion. Of course ma only played the violin, but thought she knew about EVERY instrument/thing! Aren't ALL Italian mothers that way?

I know how you felt, Loesje, with someone breathing down your neck as you tried to play. On top of that she was trying to sing a Dutch song in Italian! Loesje learned, as did I, to just play LOUDER, pretending to NOT hear her! Loesje still has her accordion and recently started playing it again.

We had some great times with Loesje and her mom.
