Johnstown Knitting Mill (1940)

As kids (10 - 11 year olds) we would have coal fights on the huge piles of coal that were in the upper right of the picture (where the cars are). Talk about being crazy! We would hide behind and crawl through the coal piles throwing chunks of coal at each other! Needless to say we came home so filthy you couldn't see the bruises until we took a bath, but we could sure feel them!
